On January 14, 2021, Gregg was diagnosed with stomach cancer and successfully beat it after they removed it. Recently the General was told that cancer is back and is in his esophagus as Stage 4. Monday, August 8th, the General's battle will begin again with radiation and chemo. Gregg started with the Redhawks in 2008 when his son joined the JV team. Gregg became part of the board ever since, earning the name the "Field General'. The name "General" stuck. He has donated thousands of hours to the kids in the community. The Redhawks are what will keep him motivated and we all will join "General's Army."
