Can you help us reach our goal?
My daddy, Gene Dinwiddie, is now HOME with Mama and my sister Lynne ... in eternal Paradise. He has longed to be reunited with them for more than 5 years now.
Daddy was 78 yrs of age and died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Ocean Springs Hospital on June 30, 2016. He had battled end stage Alzheimer's Disease for nearly 18 months. We never dreamed that he would face this ravaging illness after the heart breaking losses we faced when Mama and Lynne died in 2011. But, here we are.
Daddy gave nearly his entire life to serving the needs of his family, his neighbors, his church family, and his clients for more than 50 years.
Since 2006, following Hurricane Katrina, Daddy's entire life savings and assets were depleted as we battled Mama's fight with cancer.
As his own health declined due to Alzheimer's and the residual effects of this 'living death' ... everyone in the family contributed as much as we possibly could while Daddy prepared for his final journey Home.
Since January 2015, uninsured medical debts, unexpected hospitalizations, and increased costs for assisted living and nursing care have depleted all reserves. Funeral and final expense arrangements are incomplete.
We are grateful for ANY contribution that you give. We still have a way to go before we reach the goal, and able to completely pay off the debts.
Even if you are unable to contribute financially, your love and prayer support is very much appreciated. May the LORD that my Daddy served grant us all Peace, Comfort, and Grace in the days ahead.
