Gene Willis and children

Gene is my mate he’s everyone’s mate. He’s been there for everyone when you need a hand he’s there. Gene has a hard year financially with personal things which has seen him struggle and lose all his savings. Gene and his father Greg nearly lost their lives trying to save their family farm on New Year’s Eve and has seen his family home,his and his children’s home get burnt to the ground. Greg Willis poured his life and soul into that place over the last 30 years and it is heartbreaking to see it all gone so swiftly. When gene and Greg Made it out through the flames after nearly being incinerated trying to get away after fighting to the end, gene went straight to his neighbours property and put his life on the line again fighting for for hours as fires surrounded Peter Motbey’s farm at Tyrone, and Peter Motbey said if it wasn’t for gene he’d have lost everything. The Willis family have been active people in this community all their lives and I’d like to see people give gene a hand to get back on his feet please. To see such a strong hard bloke be reduced to going down to the local support centre for food and supplies, (and  he still took less then needed) was heartbreaking for me.. his kids never even got to ply with their Xmas presents they have got nothing..
