Gene Tom Funeral and Family Support

My father, Gene Tom, passed away on March 15, 2022 at 1:30pm. It was 9 days after his birthday and 8 months after his brain cancer diagnosis. He was taken too young and had so much left to give.

My father loved life more than anything, "I want to live," he whispered, through the haze created by his chemotherapy to his neuro-oncologist). He spent his days playing ping-pong with his friends, watching his favorite movies at home, and playfully fighting with our cat, Rachelle. Beyond that, he loved going to the beach and riding his mountain bike. In fact, we had our last family vacation at the beach less than a week before his diagnosis.

He was fiercely loyal to all his friends, had a wicked sense of humor, and loved to play pranks whenever he could. Near the end, he could no longer speak, or swallow much, but still requested the company of friends and family and a peach cake. Unfortunately, he died without getting the chance to eat his birthday cake. Any donation will help support my family during this time and cover the cost of my father's funeral.
