Dear Friends, Family, Brother Masons, and Kind Strangers,

The brethren and family of Calgary Lodge 23 give public notice with the heaviest of hearts, of our beloved Gene Johnston who suddenly passed away in the endearing arms of his beloved wife and our sister Mona Johnston.

Born on October 3, 1959, in Belleville, Ontario, Gene lived a remarkable 66 years, passing suddenly in the early morning of October 18, 2025. Our brother Gene leaves behind his beloved wife Mona Johnston, and a legacy that shines brighter than the Square and Compasses.

Gene was more - a remarkable friend, devoted mason, and an exemplary human being. We’ll all miss him dearly and in Gene's honor and Mona's enduring strength let's raise not just funds, but a testament to his life.

Please help donate in what ever manor and capacity is available to assist the Johnston family. how your donation helps (100% Transparent)
  • Funeral and memorial costs
  • Mona Johnstons immediate living expenses
  • Mona's support fund

As news of Gene's passing is circulated, please help to share and distribute this fundraiser with your lodges, social media, and relative platforms.

As masonic brothers, we say: "So mote it be."

With deepest gratitude and fraternal love,
Bro. Brandon Lau
