On the morning of January 14th, 2024, Gene and Emy lost all of their belongings along with their home of over 53 years to a tragic house fire. The house where they raised their 4 children, spent numerous holiday gatherings, and built a life over the past 50 years, suddenly vanished before their eyes. Fortunately, everyone was able to make it out safe and alive, but with any tragedy comes hardship.

Emy was trapped in the house for some time before she was rescued by the fire department and taken to the hospital. It was truly a blessing from God nobody was severely injured, as things could have resulted much worse than they did. Anyone who knows the Thomas family knows how loving and selfless Gene and Emy truly are. My grandparents would never ask for any help, but I encourage you to help in any way possible to help them turn their lives around during this difficult chapter. Only a few items were able to be salvaged from their Mandan home, so we are asking for any support you are able to give.

I am starting this page as a resource to help assist financially and cover immediate needs such as clothing, food, toiletries, insurance, and medical equipment/costs. Anything is greatly appreciated, and we are so thankful for your generosity and support.
