Gender Affirming Top Surgery for Beatrice

As many of you know this past year I’ve been jumping through hoops to try and get my top surgery. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s chest contouring and augmentation to make my chest feminine presenting. It has been a source of discomfort and dysphoria for me for years. I’ve been on hormones for 3 almost 4 years now, I’ve had little to no breast growth. It’s really the thing that bothers me the most when I look at myself, I’m tired of stuffing my bra and being afraid to wear a swimsuit or dress that shows my obvious flat chest. I can look at my face and see a woman but when it comes to my body I battle a lot of hate. I was hoping to get my surgery before the end of 2023 because my insurance would’ve fully covered it.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it and my plans benefits and rates have changed. I’ll have to pay atleast 50% out of pocket. The estimate I received from my surgeon was 10k to 12k. I have saved 1k for myself so I’ll need help with the rest. I’m asking for $6000 this should cover the amount I’ll owe out of pocket. Any excess if I’m blessed with will go towards my recovery and possibly even the beginning process of tattoo removal on my chest, because a younger version of me got a tattoo that I didn’t predict would be deformed as I got older and wanted breasts. Oof.
This would not only change my life but also save my life, I know that sounds like an extreme to many but unfortunately part of the trans experience is the battle to love and accept yourself, which has been incredibly difficult in Texas. My surgery date is in January which is also in time for my birthday. It would be the best present I could receive and I’d truly feel reborn.
