Hello, my name is Holly and I’m a non-binary transman trying to raise funds to cover the costs of top surgery as well as the aftercare time. I just moved and secured a stable home in September, but I work a minimum wage job at a coffee shop and it’s not enough to build a savings with for surgery. Additionally, I will not get paid time off or sick leave once I get surgery, and because of the physical nature of my job, I will not be able to return to work for at least 2 months post surgery. I also do not have generational wealth or a family financial security net of any kind, and have been financially supporting myself since I was 16 yrs old. Therefore I would like to humbly ask community for support in helping me raise enough funds to cover 3 months rent, groceries, and cat care so that I can focus on recovery without having to stress and feel pressured to return to work without letting my body fully heal because I’m broke.
