Gender affirming chest surgery

Hello friends! After years of discomfort in my body, I started transitioning to live my life as the person I was always meant to be. I have been on hormone therapy since 2023, and my next step is chest reconstruction surgery. 

  

I will pay a $750 deductible plus 15% of the surgery itself, with the other 85% covered by insurance.

I will also pay some additional fees for portions of the surgery that are not covered by my particular insurance plan. (Certain aspects of gender affirming surgery are considered cosmetic by my insurance and thus not covered.)

My total out-of-pocket cost is anticipated to be around $9,850.
