Whether I know you or not- thank you for being here and reading this

I’m a 37 year old trans gal in Naarm/ Melbourne, Australia who has been transitioning for a bit over a year now; part of that involves hormone replacement therapy and also, for me, it includes other gender affirming care/procedures.

There many things to this process but at the moment I have a goal of getting 2 facial feminisation surgeries- one late May and one in September.

I have paid for and saved for a lot so far but the 2nd surgery is particularly expensive and I still need help.

Essential gender affirming care is not only extremely expensive but it’s not funded here in Aus, although critical to the quality of life of trans ppl like myself.

The funds will help pay surgeons/doctors fees, support my time off work to recover (I’m a sole trader so this is a hard one) and associated appointments.

I live with chronic pain, a neuro diverse brain and work as much as I can (often too much) to get where I want and need to be. Like many, it’s a struggle for me to ask for help but I’ve come to a point where I need it- to feel at home with myself whilst keeping safe.
