Hi there, my name is Bobby but some of you may know me as Pasha. I have been really scared to start this and have stopped myself a few times but I’m desperate for help and can’t do this alone anymore.

i am non binary they/them and I have been struggling a lot the last few years with my mental health and trying to get gender affirming treatments and it’s even more difficult now that I would have to get privately as the waiting list for a gender appointment is over 31 years wait for south west and I can’t wait that long and also would cost an arm and a leg. I have been wanting to get permanent laser hair removal for my beard and rest of my body as the dysphoria that gives daily can sometimes be the hardest thing to cope with and has took me a while to realise that. I have a very masculine full beard and body hair that causes me to get disphoria everyday even if I shave the shadow has always been there and it’s not the cheapest of things so I’m mainly asking for help with that but also with accommodation. I currently work as a performer, and work in a charity shop cafe part time so finding the extra money or saving is always so hard to reach as I have housing problems too at the moment and I’m saving to move hopefully next year. Laser and gender affirming care would be life changing for me and my general mental health and wellbeing. 

Funding for my gender affirming care altogether with other private minor gender affirming treatments would be around £2500-£3000 the other procedures would make me feel more at peace with my body, body hair is the one i need to tackle first and is most attainable money wise and is a start to work towards other gender affirming surgeries in the future that would cost £6k-£10. While I can’t access anything on the nhs private is the only option right now so regain my sense of self and control so that’s why I’ve started this and I’m asking for help. 

my other goal is help towards accomodation like a rented caravan or deposit and rent for an apartment would be around the same £2000/£2500 due to the housing crisis we are in south west Cornwall.

. I keep a lot of things to myself as a queer local performer but this is me being honest and asking for help as I can’t do it alone
