Kristine who is a mother of four is giving the gift of life to someone who is in urgent need of a kidney. She is a caring, loving and supportive school teacher, mother, sister and friend. She has suffered through two brain tumors 7 resconstructive surgeries and had a feeding tube for 11 months. Regardless of her own struggles she is more than willing to give her friend the gift of life. The recovery time for her kidney donation surgery is between 6 to 8 weeks. Kristine can’t work full time due to her physical ailments and being a single parent. On top of her financial struggles she has no mode of safe and reliable transportation.
