Gemma’s Rainbow Bridge Toll
Donation protected
On the evening of May 31st, Gemma unexpectedly left this realm and crossed the rainbow bridge into the next after the discovery of a splenic mass and emergency surgery. She was only 9 years old.
Gemma was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and the thousands that followed her. She brought so many people and puppers together and brought immeasurable amounts of joy to the world.
Unfortunately, we live in a capitalistic hellscape and Gemma’s family has now been hit with a $5,000+ emergency veterinary services bill. It may have been more bearable had Gemma survived to return home to her loved ones, but for her family to be hit with that kind of burden after the heartbreak of losing her is nothing short of cruel.
If you have ever had the honor of watching her kiss and nanny her babies, or play with her kitty sibling or down a puppacino or trance along the fringe of a blanket, please consider chipping in a few bucks towards her final expenses. Gemma had tens of thousands of people who loved her and loved to follow her; if even 10% of them could contribute just $1, her bridge toll would be taken care of.
Thank you all so much for any help you are able to offer and for loving her and her humans as much as you do.
Love,
Steph
