Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read my mom’s story Anybody who knows me or my mom knows our immense love for animals, especially pitbulls. There was never a moment in my childhood where we didn’t have dogs in our house and I loved every moment of it. We never have enough time with our fur-babies but unfortunately Gemma’s time here with us in jeopardy. Anybody who knows my mom knows her dog Gemma. I feel like we all have that one soul dog that we meet in this lifetime and for my mom, that’s Gemma. Gemma was recently diagnosed with cancer after not feeling well for the past couple of days. My mom has being doing everything she can for her and is currently $4000 into her vet bills, so you can imagine the financial stress she was under when they told her that chemotherapy will cost upwards of $10,000. I know times are tough, I know that we’re all struggling with the holidays right around the corner, myself included. If you can find it in your heart to donate to Gemma’s treatment I know my mom would be extremely grateful! This isn’t something we ever really expected (Gemma isn’t an old dog) so we’re hoping with chemotherapy that she will either go into remission or at least give her a couple more years.
