In 2024 a crack team of middle-aged men in the middle of a mid-life crisis defied the odds to conquer one of the UK’s toughest obstacle races: Total Warrior.
Now, in 2025, they return to bravely meander, complain and wheeze their way through the same course with all the drive and enthusiasm of a vegan at a barbecue.
Original squad members, Jimmy Tan, Steve ‘Mo’ Ormrod, Will-I-Was and Jonny Shalom are back, older, slower and heavier than ever. This year they will be joined by two new recruits: Gary-209, a man who is rumoured to be the secret lovechild of Michel Vonk and C-3PO and PostAnt Pat, who brings with him a severe case of dyscalculia (look it up!) and a strong preference for flat terrain. They will compete over a 12km course containing various obstacles such as ‘Peaks of Pain’, ‘The Bog of Doom’ and fan favourite ‘Swing or Swim’ – which is essentially monkey bars over water or for Jimmy Tan a haunting flashback to the time his ex-wife took him to see a few friends at the special sauna.
This course will test every ounce of their mental and physical endurance but fortunately the team has been training hard already, countless hours have been invested on the golf course, deep tissue massages and constant complaining of mysterious shoulder injuries.
This year the rag tag bunch of average joes will be hoping to raise money for Gemma to recieve treatment for melanoma and have as much time as possible to spend with her family , details in the link below
