At 8 days old, Gemma Rose Villa was admitted to Children's Hospital of Alabama for breathing problems. Doctors have still been unable to find the cause, but she will require oxygen along with continuous care and monitoring once she is released. This issue was caused due to Katie having complications from an emergency C-section, which led to an emergency surgery on Gemma when she was 11 days old.
