Gemma and Li Habibullah

Hello, my name is Lisa and I am helping organize this fundraiser on behalf of Gemma and Li's only child, my friend Mo Habibullah, as they are in need of aid to cover their parent's funeral expenses and all the unforeseen costs that go along with loss of a loved one.

This past week, while driving to Carbondale, Gemma and Li were in a car accident and both passed away. Most people would recognize them from seeing them at their family-owned business Monah's International Groceries in Carbondale. Li devoted his life to helping feed his community. Before retiring, Gemma taught math at St. Pius X High School and as an adjunct faculty member at SLU.

No one can ever be prepared for the loss of their parents and the last thing anyone would want is for Mo to have any additional stress heaped on them worrying about ensuring Gemma and Li have a proper funeral. All donations will be transferred to Mo and will go directly to the Habibullah family to help cover funeral arrangements and expenses.
