Gemini Needs Us: A Path to Recovery

hi. I'm Gemini, a disabled black trans woman based in the DC area. in 2004, I was diagnosed with what is now known as ME/CFS (but was then simply chronic fatigue syndrome); in 2024 I was diagnosed with hEDS (a severe hypermobility disorder), POTS (an autoimmune heart condition), and MCAS (an autoimmune condition affecting my entire histamine system). even while maintaining same-as-2020 safety, i unfortunately experienced COVID multiple times in the summer of 2024, leading to an eventual Long COVID diagnosis.
in the background of all of this - I lost my job and my immediate life became in danger within my own community, forcing relocation to the DC area for my safety.
unfortunately, it was already difficult enough to find employment in my current crossroads. we've fallen behind on all of our bills and I cannot seem to physically put 40 hours together on the road and look for work and navigate my disabilities and try not to become a statistic all at once.
this, friends, is a survival fund. because I work for less than minimum wage in the gig economy for the maybe 25-30 hours I can and it's not enough. my fridge is empty and my rent is a month late, my utilities are three months behind, and honestly...I'm kinda drowning and am asking a community that has kept me alive thus far to throw me a bone so that I can double down and focus on finding work, which is its own full-time job.
I appreciate all that y'all have done to get me here. I need your help to keep me here.
