My wonderful wife Albina suffers from multiple sclerosis and trigeminal neuralgia, which makes her life unbearable due to horrific pain that she regularly experiences. Once a promising opera singer in Bosnia, she now only hopes to restore a normal, livable life.

Trigeminal neuralgia is known as “suicide pain” because of its devastating effect. It triggers sharp attacks, similar to electric shocks, across the face. Basic actions like eating, speaking or brushing her teeth have become a nightmare for Albina. The medication that she currently takes causes devastating side effects and the pain is not even contained. Her condition gets worse each month.

The next remaining option is radiosurgery in Munich, Germany – with special, precise technology called ZAP-X, needed due to this issue’s complexity. The overall cost is 22,000 euros so we are hoping to raise this amount to give Albina a chance for a livable future with maddening pain put under control.

She doesn't easily talk about this, but she has been there for others so many times. Inspiring joy and sharing warmth with her genuine care... one of the most radiant people you could ever meet. I hope to see her at her best again, I know the world needs it too. Any help would be priceless for us, as well as knowing that Albina’s life isn’t reduced to suffering.

Albina boluje od multiple skleroze i neuralgije trigeminusa. Zbog užasnih bolova postoje dani kada nije u stanju da normalno jede, opere zube ili govori. Njena operska karijera potpuno je ostala po strani, ali Albina se jedino nada da će neuralgiju staviti pod kontrolu.

Ovo stanje sami ljekari su prozvali “samoubilačkim bolom” zbog dejstva koje ima na pacijente. Nalik je na strujne udare u predjelu lica i može trajati od nekoliko sekundi do više sati, u talasima.

Lijekovi koje Albina uzima dovedeni su na maksimum i već izazivaju ozbiljne posljedice, a ne drže bol pod kontrolom. Napadi su sve češći.

Sljedeći preporučeni korak je zahvat u Minhenu uz pomoć tehnologije ZAP-X, koja je rijetko dostupna, a Albini neophodna zbog njene specifične bolesti. Cijena tretmana je 22.000 evra. Zato se nadamo da ćemo skupiti ova sredstva da bi naša Albina dobila priliku za podnošljiv život bez svakodnevnog bola.

Ona sama to neće pominjati, ali za druge je bila tu da pomogne nebrojeno puta. Jedna je od onih koji vam obasjaju život unesu toplinu i svjetlost po kojima je prepoznajete. Albina leidet an Multipler Sklerose und Neuralgia trigeminus. Aufgrund schrecklicher Schmerzen gibt es Tage, an denen sie nicht in der Lage ist, normal zu essen, Zähne zu putzen oder zu sprechen. Ihre Karriere als Opern Sängerin kann sie nicht mehr nachgehen.

Diesen Zustand beschreiben Ärzte selbst als "Selbstmordschmerzen" aufgrund der Auswirkungen die diese Krankheit auf die Patienten hat. Es ähnelt Stromschlägen im Gesicht und kann von einigen Sekunden bis zu mehreren Stunden in Wellen dauern.

Die Medikamente, die Albina einnimmt, haben ihr Maximum erreicht und verursachen bereits bzw. Akut noch schwerwiegende Folgen, ohne ihre Schmerzen unter Kontrolle zu halten oder zu lindern. Angriffe werden immer häufiger.

Der nächste empfohlene Schritt ist ein operatives Verfahren in München mit Hilfe der ZAP-X-Technologie, die selten verfügbar ist, aber für Albinas Krankheitsbild unumgänglich, da sich ihr Zustand ohne nur noch mehr verschlechtert.
