Renovate GEH 2021

God’s Extended Hand (GEH) is the oldest ministry that serves our homeless neighbors in downtown San Diego by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving up to 1500 free meals every week. GEH has been fulfilling this mission for almost a century; it was founded 97 years ago to serve struggling World War I veterans.

GEH is now partnering with various Churches in the San Diego area to provide food, clothing, and showers for the homeless living around downtown. GEH is unique in providing this service without a high-barrier qualification criteria for receiving the service; anyone who is sober is welcome at GEH.

GEH operates from a 130 year old facility at the intersection of Island Avenue and 16th street in downtown San Diego. This facility has been cited recently for code violations by the City of San Diego, and the City is now requesting the managing board to immediately address these violations or risk the facility’s closure.

Therefore, GEH needs the community’s help to keep its doors open for the needy. The managing board is seeking at least $200,000 to repair the facility and bring it up to code. Please consider prayerfully to generously give to GEH!

God Bless you!
