We met Matt a few months ago in front of the Hingham Post Office. Matt is sleeping in a tent- outside in the cold (except for a few nights on Al’s couch...) He is from Hingham and is 37 years old. He wants to work again, and has been saving money for a car. But he struggles with mental illness. It is almost impossible to find a job without a warm bed at night and a regular shower. He is on a very long waiting list for assisted housing. We found him a room with a shared kitchen and bath. He is able to pay half the monthly rent. We would like to help him with the other half for 6 months-1 year.  Sometimes people just need a hand up. Can you help us help him? We will continue to support Matt in finding a job, his search for more permanent housing, and anything else he may need to get back on his feet.
