Help a Cancer Patient with Medical Bills & Daughter Mara

Well, I’m living in a nightmare right now.

This is embarrassing, to say the least. It’s very hard for me to ask anyone for help but with the events of the past 2 days I have swallowed my pride because I desperately need help.

I have cancer and along with that, a very difficult financial situation. I have bills I can’t pay, and I have to go to the University of

Pennsylvania for my check ups with my liver doctor. However my car was repossessed on Tuesday night. It was my own fault, I called about an extension on my loan, I paid my last payment on February 5th. But with moving from our apt and dealing with surgeries and drs, plu trying to pay for motels, I forgot to sign the document on the NMAC portal. So my car was repossessed! I owe $8000 on my car, so I know there is no way I can get it back. I’m doing everything I can, but I’m on SS and in normal situations, I’d be fine. But with the added bills, and now no car I am lost.

I can’t even believe I’m doing this; I just hate this whole situation.

i have stage 1 liver cancer that can be treated with an ablation but the only cure is a liver transplant. I am on the list at University of Pennsylvania. I have to meet with my team every few months.

I also have ductile carcinoma in my right breast, I had a lumpectomy on Feb 24th. I have Pre-cancerous cells in my cervix. I had a cone biopsy on Monday, results are back and more cells were found so I’ll have a second procedure in 3 weeks. Then depending on the result I may need further surgery.. I am going to Pennsylvania at the end of March to meet with my team. But that’s just the beginning of the journey, I have been placed on the liver transplant List at the university of Pennsylvania, just trying to stay positive! I hate to even ask for any help but with co-pays, transportation and my Pennsylvania trips I’m really struggling right now. I have had a very special friend that did a personal fundraiser for me which helped with my surgery and motel room.

This has been completely overwhelming and now my car is gone too!

I pray and my faith helps, I know God is with me.
