Global Emergency Care Skills (GECS) is a non-profit voluntary organisation founded in 2008 with a core objective of providing high-quality emergency medicine training to healthcare professionals in countries where emergency medicine is a developing speciality. Global Emergency Care Skills has to date trained over 800 medical professionals on missions to Zambia, Kenya, Botswana, Ghana amongst others.

Solwezi General Hospital is the biggest hospital in the Northwestern province of Zambia. The next global emergency care skills training course will encompass a combination of trauma care skills, sepsis care, and ultrasound training for 45 doctors & nurses who serve a large catchment area.

All funds raised will deliver training to doctors and nurses in the region and will also fund the provision of an ultrasound machine to the hospital for clinical use.
