John Ward - In Memoriam

Maria and the team would like to express grateful thanks for your many messages of support. It has given Maria huge comfort to know how much John was loved by so many.

Lots of people have asked if they can make a donation to honour John’s memory, and we feel the best way to do that is to continue the work at Silsila, supported through the ‘Friends of Silsila’ association. We have therefore re-ignited our fund-raising campaign which will support our next and future seasons.

Our plans for next Season are in preparation, and we hope to be back on site in Early 2026. With your generous donations we are able to do much more each season, with our goal to conserve and protect the site to enable the opening up of more areas to the public. John’s plans and goals for the future work are very much part of our activities going forward, and he is absolutely with us in spirit.
