Help Rory get Top Surgery!

Hey, I'm Rory! I'm a trans guy who has been out since late 2014!

I am from Ohio and hoping to go to Dr. Medalie in Cleveland, OH. He has stellar results on his top surgeries! He currently doesn't accept insurance (but he does supply the necessary information to give to your insurance company afterwords to see if they'll cover anything) however the insurance plan I'm currently on with my dad does not cover top surgery at all hence the need to pay for everything out of pocket.

This goal is a combination of the prices listed on Dr. Medalie's page on the Cleveland Plastic Surgery website (which includes the surgery itself, the anesthesia, and facilities) as well as my travel and time off work for recovery to still afford all my bills. I will also be required to go to therapy for a minimum of 6 months prior to the surgery for a letter of recommendation. My insurance doesn't fully cover therapy so I included the 6 months worth of co-pay into my goal.

Sadly after improperly binding while I was a kid in highschool and after my previous job's strenuous heavy lifting and long hours with no breaks I can no longer bind everyday. I can bind for very short periods of time but any longer than a couple hours and I get bad pain in my ribs and in my back and have to remove my binder which can be very frustrating. Not being able to bind the last couple years has caused me a lot of anxiety and stress.

I'm very much looking forward to being comfortable going swimming with my friends and family again once I get top surgery! I used to love swimming as a kid but once I got older and my chest started growing I stopped swimming if I could avoid it. I can't wait to go topless to a beach for the first time one day!
