Like all of you I am left shocked, trying to make sense of what's happened, and trying to find the perfect words to describe such an incredible guy, Alexander Robert Silvio Cerchie, better known to many as Zander.
Zander was a warrior of God who overcame so many obstacles in his 34 years of life. Zander was a loving, compassionate, intelligent, and funny man who was loved by all his friends and family, mostly for his sense of humor. Zander successfully battled cancer twice in his life and suffered from epilepsy for many years. Despite these challenges, he went on to live a successful life, graduating Suma Cum Laude in 2018 with his Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration. In 2017, Zander married the love of his life, Lauren Kovacevic. Zander was a great musician and loved music of all kinds. He loved his country, enjoyed debating anyone about anything, and was a Pittsburgh fan through and through.
Because of Zander's pre-existing health issues, he was unable to get life insurance. This go fund me is to help Lauren with these final life expenses as well as give her the ability to grieve through this time without needing to worry about covering bills. Lauren had lost her job at the beginning of this COVID-19 and Zander was the only source of income for them these last few months.
Zander's friendship amounted to having another brother you could always count on to be there for you as you can see with everyone's facebook posts. For the love of Z, let's all step up for him now and help the best we can (I know times are tough for many people right now).
