Hello, I am Niko Yasir, a transgender man ready to take a significant step towards aligning my physical body with my true self. I've been fortunate enough to secure a date for gender affirming surgery, but unexpected financial hurdles have arisen.

Growing up, I always felt a profound sense of identity as one of the guys. However, the presence of my chest became a constant reminder that society didn't see me the way I saw myself. Body dysphoria has plagued me for as long as I can remember, intensifying as I began to understand and embrace my transgender identity.

The prospect of this surgery fills me with hope and excitement, as it represents a chance to alleviate some of the distress caused by my body dysphoria and live authentically as the man I am. However, the reality of the out-of-pocket expenses associated with healthcare has thrown a wrench in my plans.

Initially, I had saved $2000.00, intending it to cover my bills during the recovery period. But with additional out-of-pocket costs, I now find myself needing an extra $3000.00 to make this surgery a reality. I was able to reschedule my surgery for January 16th, 2025, and I'm reaching out to my community for support.
