Grateful Doggies Rescue Retreat
Rescue-Love-Rehabilitation
We are a newly opened facility that operates our own rescue which takes dogs from both local and southern shelters, offering them a sanctuary while we rehabilitate and prepare them for their adoption to their forever homes. We also offer the same love to the dogs from many of the tri-states best rescues. We have many regular operating costs and also the need to expand so we can do so much more.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to our cause thus far- we could not have acchieved so much in such a short time without you! The regular bills continue but we are in constant need of help to set out to create the best facility for not only our rescue dogs but the rescues we partner with.
Our original GoFundMe had all of our long term goals listed and we have now opted to seek funding step by step. We have made great progress with your help and have completed some necessary projects as well as hit a great plateau of day to day operations, expanding our capabilities. We have seen many dogs find their forever homes and have seen so much progress with dogs that needed love and rehabilitation on their way to their forever homes. With your help we have accomplished the following so far:
-renovation of the grooming room, all gates have been sand blasted and powdercoated. Room has been painted and some equipment has been updated. A new exhaust system has been installed
-local transport vehicle has been secured for vet visits and local transport
-smallwares have been purchased for cleaning and sanitation
-Lobby has been renovated and existing display units have been painted
-10k pounds of quality food has been purchased for us and other rescues in need
-2 play yards have been erected out front for the small dogs
-electric has been updated to add lighting to our exterior and interior runs.
-Washer and Dryer was donated and installed with updated electric and gas.
-power washer has been purchased
-monthly bills i.e. phne, gas, electric, labor and rent have been paid in a timely fashion.
-we have paid over $4k in medical bills at our local vet since our inception
-set up a low cost training program for our guests and for dogs that have been adopted, helping them adjust to their new homes
-set up a low cost grooming program for those same dogs
We are hopeful that our friends and supporters will donate so that we can continue to provide love and rehabilitation to these wonderful dogs! The next steps are as follows:
-Heartworm treatment for 2 of the dogs in our care which will total over $2k
-dividing our current play yards to add 3 more active yards (fence panels, posts, concrete, hardware) $950
-expanding the property which has already been cleared to add 6 more play yards (fence panels, posts, concrete and hardware) $1675
-investment for 2 fundraisers including t shirts and retail/restaraunt participated program (screen print cost, shirts, delivery, printed display cards) $1100.
If you would like to donate for a fence panel or a post we will be displaying the name of the gracious donors on each tract of fencing and post with a permanent personal message in thanks and memoriam. The runs of our 2 Heartworm Positive doggies, Ziggy and Jester, will be adorned with the names of those who contributed .
The donations that will recieve personalized permanent recognition are available for everyone, individuals, families and businesses or organizations. They are as follows
-Fence Panels are a $78 donation each
-Completed posts with cement and hardware are $47 each
-contributions of $75 each towards Heartworm Treatment.
Please specify towards what your donation is so we know.
If you or your company would like to donate on a monthly basis please contact us via msg here or on our Facebook Page. We are offering sponsorship of our runs which has a monthly cost of $550 each. We are hopeful to have businesses team up to take ownership of a run by helping us with the cost. An office of approximately 50 people would donate around $10 a month each to make a lot of magic happen. We would add a custom plaque to the sponsored run, share weekly updates to show just how much your contribution is accomplishing and share the news of your generosity to all of our supporters via social media and web site. You may choose to sponsor for our rescue dogs or for one of the participating rescues we partner with.
The foundation has been built and with continued support from our existing family and friends and support from new people and businesses....the sky is the limit!
