My name is Alison and the purpose of this GoFundMe is to support my wonderful friend Rob and his family during this extremely difficult time. Somehow, despite us only being in our mid thirties, Rob is dying. He recently went to our local hospital because he was experiencing terrible back pain. At that time, the ER doctors completed a scan and told him you either have pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, it was the latter and Rob was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Cancer sucks, but this one is insidious. He had no indication that he was sick until literally 3 months ago. Through my research, this is apparently very common with pancreatic cancer. It sneaks up on your before you even have a chance to combat it. Because of how staged it is, Rob is unable to embark on treatment to prolong his life and must rely on his parents and friends to help him in his final days. And somehow through all of this, Rob is only worried about his parents. He is concerned about funeral costs and things that no person in their thirties should have to be thinking about.

We are hoping to raise some money for impending funeral expenses and medical bills in order to give him some peace of mind in his final days and avoid leaving his family with a financial burden. Please consider donating- anything helps. We appreciate you all so much.
