Help Dhanush Recover from Tragic Accident
Donation protected
I am reaching out to help Dhanush recover from a tragic accident that resulted in head injury and reclaim his life.
Dhanush belongs to a poor, lower-middle-class family from Vissannapeta, AP, India.
His father earns his living by ironing clothes. His mother is a daily wage worker. Dhanush has been a bright student and secured 492 marks in 10th grade last year.
He worked in fields on daily wage and gathered funds for his education this year.
He prepared well for 11th grade (Intermediate 1st year) exams. He was planning on going back to labor work in summer to save for next year's education.
On March 4th, after attending his English exam, he met with a fatal bike accident. He had severe head injuries and lost one eye. He remained in ICU and underwent multiple surgeries. Doctors, though not very hopeful in the beginning, were able to save his life. They had to open his skull to allow the brain to heal. The removed skull plate was stored in his waist region and will be reattached to the skull once the inflammation in the brain goes down.
Right now, he has no memory of his accident. He is confused and forgetting things. He is not stable in his walk and sometimes falls if he has no support. He lost sight in one of his eyes. His medical expenses have crossed $10,000 so far and another $5,000 is needed for the next surgery, medications, etc.
His parents do not have any more resources to bring this money and are reaching out for help.
Please help Dhanush reclaim his life.
Your contributions will go a long way and save a life and give a family their beloved son.
