William Penn Music Boosters
Donation protected
The William Penn Music Boosters is asking for your financial support to help us raise funds so we can better support the music programs in York City School distict.
We are looking to raise funds to replace the rain gear that we currently have. What we have now has passed it's life expentcey.
In the very near future we need to purchase new uniforms. The ones we have now are begining to show their age.
In 5 years the marching band will be celebrating 100 years of marching. The booster club and music department would like to be able to do some very big things working up to and including that time to celebrate our 100th anniversary.
Hopefully we can take the kids on a very nice trip some where to particapate in one of the major parades that are held through out the year.
We would also like to do something big within the city. To celebrate the anniversary.
The students do fundraising through out the year. Most of the upcoming things are major expense's and are not normally covered in budgets. It is achieved through fundraising and donations.
Due to the financial distress of the York City School District, in order to keep the music program “alive”, the William Penn Music Boosters has paid stipends for several of the music department’s staff positions over the last couple of years, and other expenses such as bus transportation to music performances. These costs and others have historically been covered by the York City School District.
The result of receiving a donation from you would help the William Penn Music Boosters. This year The William Penn Bearcat marching band proudly celebrates 94 years of music and marching excellence.
All funds will be used to support the music students of the York City school distict.
