Hello! My name is Lainey. I was recently diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
What's B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia?
B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) happens when the bone marrow produces too many abnormal B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps your body fight infection. Too many B-lymphocytes can accumulate in the blood and bone marrow and crowd out other healthy blood cells, leading to anemia and low platelet counts, and making it harder for your body’s immune system to fight off infections like colds and pneumonia.
My family and I have created this fundraiser in order to help with medical expenses, basic daily needs, transportation, and housing as I will need multiple extensive treatments in the coming months.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I beat this battle against leukemia. And thank you so much for donating to my fight!
