Beloved son, and little brother Dalyn Wayne Shupe has passed this winter Sunday, 10 January 2016.  Survived by his parents, Lynette and Rex Tyler Shupe, his brothers Regan (Meagan), Kennon, and Harrison Rex (Harry); Grandmother Shirley Murdock (Max), Great Aunt Nancy Ethington; Aunts Karen Woolley Bennett (Richard), Elizabeth Haines, Tamara Fife, Dove (Beau) Carden and Estelle Stam (Jerry), Uncle Jim R. Shupe (Chris), and his many loving and adoring cousins.  Proceeded in death by his loving Grandparents Marilyn and Keith Woolley, loving Uncles Wayne Ford Woolley and Marcus Keith Woolley, Great Aunt Ellen June Ethington, and Aunt Rebecca Shupe.

Suddenly, our beloved Dalyn was taken from us to be with God. The joy that he brought to each of us has been silenced. Everyone he met throughout his life was warmed by his laughter and his enthusiasm for life.  Dalyn Wayne Shupe, of Kaysville, Utah will always be Lyn and Rex's cherished son, devoted brother to Regan, Kennon and Harry Rex, and a beloved grandson and nephew. His warm smile and his humor will continue to guide us in each new day.

Dalyn was born on June 30th, 2001 in Layton, Utah and was attending Fairfield Jr. High.  He was actively involved in Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and enjoyed being a flight leader. CAP was one of Dalyn’s favorite things in his life and he always came home with a smile. The Shupe family enjoys being active in the outdoors biking, hiking, running, and skiing.  Dylan enjoyed playing the violin and fiddling tunes with his brothers and dad.

Dalyn was always the heart of the family. He had the kind of personality that resonated friendship with everyone around him. Dalyn’s smile, kind heart, and special, sarcastic humor captivated us all and always left us with a lighter heart.  His little cousins were drawn to him and always wanted to play with him. Wherever Dalyn was at a family party his little cousins were not far behind, laughing all the way.

Notes from Dad:

Little brother, we wish you'd stayed longer, as we cannot think to bear our days without you.  We will miss your violin, your CAP uniform and reveling in your advancements in rank.  We will miss your humor, quoting hilarious movie lines and comedic lines verbatim in the exact style that made us all laugh.  Your little cousins will miss you, your big cousins too.  I was excited to fly with you, to talk about the wonders of the universe with you. You were a great and deep thinker for being just a young man.  Mom was happiest spending time with you on the Red Rocks, listening to your concerts, and pinning on your advancements, tickling and being tickled.  You were that impossibly small caboose that dropped in behind your brothers on the black diamonds while skiing, scrambling up nerve-racking crags and ledges on the red rocks of Southern Utah.  You completed our family, our entire world-view.   There is a void now that cannot be replaced.  We cannot fathom being without you.  We wish you'd have stayed.   You will remain in our hearts, minds, and our everyday thoughts.  Peace little brother.
