My uncle Rob (age 62) has always been the life of the party. No matter the situation, he can always find the humor in it and make us all laugh. He cares deeply for his family and friends and is always willing to help others in need. But now he is the one in need of some help.
Rob was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. It was completely unexpected. He went in for a routine colonoscopy, and they found a tumor the size of a grapefruit, blocking 97% of his colon. He had no symptoms, and this news came as a great shock to him and the whole family.
He just had surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeon said that Rob was extremely lucky that his colon had not burst because the cancer was so advanced. He is now recovering from the surgery, but he is now facing several months of very aggressive chemotherapy.
Rob has been a long-haul truck driver for many years. Because of this surgery and the upcoming chemotherapy treatments, he will not be able to work. Since truck drivers don't get paid if they aren't driving, he will not be able to provide the income for his family or for his medical bills. We don't yet know how expensive the medical bills are going to be, but between that and the complete loss of income, we are looking to help him in any way we can.
Please help us help my uncle Rob. Let's keep that humor and laughter going for many more years. We thank you and are so grateful for any help you can provide. Please keep Rob in your prayers.
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
