I'm a 20 year old transgender man from the UK. I've been on testosterone for a year, and it's been one of the most important steps in becoming myself. While hormone therapy has helped me feel more comfortable in my body, my chest dysphoria remains one of the biggest challenges I face every day.

The next step in my transition is top surgery.

Unfortunately, the NHS waiting list is currently estimated to be over seven years. After already waiting years to access gender-affirming healthcare, facing another wait this long feels overwhelming. I don't want to spend the rest of my twenties putting my life on hold.

Living with severe chest dysphoria affects almost every part of my daily life. I have to think about what I wear, how I move, and how I present myself whenever I leave the house. Simple things that many people take for granted going swimming, exercising comfortably, or even looking in the mirror can be incredibly difficult.

Top surgery isn't cosmetic for me. It's medically necessary care that would allow me to feel comfortable, confident, and at home in my own body.

Because of the NHS waiting times, I'm trying to raise money to access surgery privately. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to living without the daily burden of chest dysphoria.
