Manny Scarangella needs our help.
Donation protected
Manny, aka “Coach” and Commish” has been sidelined for almost a year. Several hospital stays led to the most recent continuous hospital/rehabilitation/skilled nursing facility then finally accepted and admitted into the Mayo Clinic. Several weeks ago Manny was diagnosed with Amyloidosis (a rare blood disease that leads to organ failure) and this week diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (bone marrow cancer).
Manny and Karen raised three great boys (as seen in photo during healthier times). Before relocating to Florida 6 years ago, Manny volunteered thousands of hours to local youth sports. Manny coached Little League and sat on their board, introduced lacrosse to both boys and girls in our community, volunteered as recreation director without accepting any stipend, organized countless fundraisers to benefit the youth programs and activities. Manny organized trips to related sporting events (Yankee game, Jackals, Devils, college lacrosse, etc) for players and families. Manny promoted family time, team bonding and fun activities for our community. Manny’s enthusiasm was contagious.
A great man is battling the fight of his life.
Manny has been unable to work most of this past year. The state of Florida does not offer disability. Manny and Karen would never ask for financial help. I know they need our help. Help for the care/treatment needed after the recent diagnoses, help for expenses incurred this past year and help to afford some of the everyday expenses incurred while you have no paycheck.
Please help Manny and Karen during this difficult time. Manny has given so much to others over the years .
(Any donations can be accessed by only Manny and Karen.)
