Hoy nos vemos obligados a pedir ayuda en uno de los momentos más dolorosos que ha vivido nuestra familia. De un día para otro, mi tío fue detenido por ICE, sin poder entender lo que estaba sucediendo ni despedirse de los suyos.

En casa quedaron esperándolo su esposa y sus dos hijos: una niña de apenas 9 años que pregunta todos los días por su papá, y un joven de 18 años que hoy carga con una responsabilidad demasiado grande para su edad.

Mi tío es un hombre honesto, trabajador y dedicado a su familia. Nunca imaginamos enfrentar una situación así. Mientras él permanece detenido, su familia lucha afuera con el dolor de su ausencia y con gastos que nos sobrepasan: renta, comida, abogado, fianza y todo el proceso legal.

Hoy acudimos a ustedes con humildad. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, representa un rayo de esperanza para esta familia. Confiamos en que Dios ve cada acto de amor y generosidad, y que Él les multiplicará en bendiciones todo lo que den de corazón.

Today we are forced to ask for help during one of the most painful moments our family has ever faced. From one day to the next, my uncle was detained by ICE, without understanding what was happening or being able to say goodbye to his loved ones.

At home, his wife and two children were left waiting for him: a 9-year-old girl who asks every day for her dad, and an 18-year-old young man who is now carrying a responsibility far too heavy for his age.

My uncle is an honest, hardworking man, devoted to his family. We never imagined facing a situation like this. While he remains detained, his family struggles outside with the pain of his absence and with expenses that are beyond our means: rent, food, a lawyer, bail, and the entire legal process.

Today we come to you with humility. Any help, no matter how small, represents a ray of hope for this family. We trust that God sees every act of love and generosity, and that He will multiply in blessings all that you give from the heart.
