Lupe has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Because of her family history, she has opted for a double mastectomy and reconstruction after.
I’ve known Lupe for 20+ years, she’s been a family friend and my hair dresser (so basically my therapist) for all these years. If you know Lupe, she is like many women in that she’s the last one to ask for help (or even admit she needs it). She is a very strong woman, very independent and full of energy. She’s one of those DIY people (wish I was one)! She’s not one to let this define her life – she’s a fighter.
She lives in Modesto and works 3 days a week in San Jose. Due to her illness, she will be off/on work for many months. She is also the sole care giver to her father, who recently had spine surgery. She has plenty on her plate and no one should be worrying about financial issues while going through something like this.
At church we are in the year of Mercy, and this being Lent, I felt called to help Lupe in any way I can. I want her to be able to concentrate on herself, her recovery and her health. Her church community is also assisting her in many ways.
I’m asking you to please make a contribution (no matter how small or big) in order to help Lupe with her finances while she is going through her treatment and recovery.
Please help me help Lupe!
God bless you.
