On June 19th, 2018 Kyana was diagnosed with AML leukemia. She is the daughter of, Fernando Guevara who is a member of the CrossFit Texas community. For those of you who know Kyana, you know she is one of the strongest and most determined 14 year olds out there. If anyone can get beyond this, it is her. She will beat AML. She’s a strong fighter & she needs every single well wish and prayer out there.
On June 20th Kyana underwent her very 1st surgery, which included a bone marrow exam and spinal tap. She’ll start chemo therapy today for at least 10 days. After her surgery we will have more insights as to what all her treatment plan will entail.
This is going to be a marathon and not a sprint. The continuous prayers, love, & support is what is going to get this family through this challenging time. This page has been set up to keep you updated and to be able to financially assist this dear family while Kyana undergoes treatment.
