No One Fights Alone

Hey friends, My name is Dennis

I invite you to help my dear friend Katya Volostnov (Остапцова) fight the toughest battle of her life.

I've known Katya for over 25 years. We went to the same church and a Christian student center in Ukraine. Now Katya and her family live in Charlotte, NC.

On May 28, 2022, Katya went to urgent care for an abnormal lymph node in the right neck. She had an ultrasound and CT of the neck and chest that revealed findings below with significant anterior mediastinal lymphadenopathy/mass. The biopsy results concluded the diagnosis of Classic Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer, stage II, Nodular Sclerosis subtype.

Katya is a mother to her 4-year-old daughter Emily Rose, a wife to Vitaliy, a friend to many, a talented florist and a faithful believer and member of First Baptist Church in Indian Trail, NC. For those who know Katya (Остапцова), she is a hard-working person and friend with a huge heart of gold. For those who don’t know Katya, she is a person who always has words of encouragement for everybody and always tries to help others, and now it's time to help her.

To fight lymphoma, we ask for your prayers and seek to raise money to pay many medical bills in the coming months, all medical costs associated with this diagnosis, and household/living expenses while she is undergoing chemotherapy. Katya's medical insurance covers most of the cost of cancer medications. However, there are still many bills that the insurance can't help with like multiple tests, scans, surgeries, chemo ports installations and hospital visits.

Katya is strong and is trying hard but is too weak to work full time, especially after chemo, and Vitaly spends every free minute he can with her. Any amount contributed will mean the world to her and her family.

Every penny of the funds raised will go straight to their account to help make the battle easier.

We will keep you updated on Katya’s fight as more details emerge. She is in her 4th week of chemo right now.

    Доброго вечора, я Денис.

    Я запрошую вас допомогти моїй дорогій подрузі Каті Волостновой (Остапцова) витримати найважчу битву її життя. Я знаю Катю більше 25 років. Ми були в одній церкві та християнському студентському центрі в Україні. Зараз Катя з родиною живе в Шарлотт, штат Північна Кароліна. 

     28 травня 2022 року Катя звернулася до швидкої допомоги з патологією лімфовузла на правій стороні шиї. Їй зробили ультразвукове дослідження та комп’ютерну томографію шиї та грудної клітини, які виявили ознаки значної лімфаденопатії/утворення переднього середостіння. За результатами біопсії встановлено діагноз: Класична лімфома Ходжкіна, II стадія, підтип вузлового склерозу. 

     Катя — мама 4-річної доньки Емілі Роуз, дружина Віталія, вірна подруга, талановитий флорист, вірна віруюча та член Першої баптистської церкви в Індіан Трейл, Північна Кароліна. Для тих, хто знає Катю (Остапцову), вона працьовита людина і друг із величезним золотим серцем. Для тих, хто не знає Катю, це людина, яка завжди має слова підтримки для всіх і завжди намагається допомогти іншим. Тепер настав час допомогти їй.

            Для боротьби з лімфомою, ми просимо ваших молитв і прагнемо зібрати гроші, щоб оплатити багато рахунків за лікування в найближчі місяці, усі медичні витрати, пов’язані з цим діагнозом, а також витрати на домашнє господарство/життя, поки вона проходить курс хіміотерапії. Медична страховка Каті покриває більшу частину вартості ліків від раку. Однак існує ще багато рахунків, з якими страховка не може допомогти, як-от багаторазові тести, сканування, операції, встановлення портів для хіміотерапії та візити до лікарні. 

    Катя сильна і старається, але занадто слабка, щоб працювати повний робочий день, особливо після хіміотерапії, і Віталій проводить з нею кожну вільну хвилину. Будь-яка внесена сума буде великою допомогою для неї та її родини. Кожна копійка зібраних коштів піде прямо на їхній рахунок, щоб полегшити їх зусилля. 

      Ми будемо тримати вас в курсі прогресу подій у Каті, як тільки з’являться додаткові подробиці. Вона зараз на 5-му тижні хіміотерапії.
