Hi, I'm Alejandro Rodriguez, Karateka and athlete with a long story on the Venezuelan National Team.
I have been fortunate to have traveled across the world to compete in sport karate.
Some of my accomplishments include:
- Seven time National Competition Champion WKF
Individual +84 Kg and Team.
- Nine time Regional (half National) Champion WKF. +84 Kg.
- Panamerican Champion WKF-PKF Team
- Panamerican Silver medalist WKF-PKF individual +84 Kg
- Alba Games Champion 2011 WKF. Individual +84 Kg.
- Three time Central American Champion. WKF Team
- Four time Central American Medalist WKF
- Pan-American Champion +84 Kg WIKF.
- Panamerican Champion OPEN. WIKF.
- Silver World Medalist WIKF 2008.

I moved to Greenville, South Carolina in December 2014, and I have been working ever since with Carolina Karate, teaching Wado-ryu karate. I have the privilege to be able to work with children of all ages and it impact their lives in a positive way through karate.
Unfortunately, before moving to the US, I severely injured my shoulder in competition. Surgery and rehab has been a difficult journey for me because I could not compete. However, after 7 months I was able to begin training again. My next goal will be to compete in one of the highest levels of competition in the United States, the US Open. This is a chance for me to fulfill my purpose in life, competition.
The US Open is a massive event hosted in Las Vegas, and will be attended by athletes from around the world. The average cost for an event like this is about $2,000, which will all be out of pocket. I am asking for your help to be able to compete at this prestigious event. Any donations would be a huge help to me! I cannot do this without the support from my friends and family.
Competition is my life, being in those places is something that makes me feel alive and happy. Karate is everything to me, it's what I was meant to do. But I need your help to compete. Big or small, each donation will help me achieve my goals. I am so grateful for all your support and thank you for taking the time to help!
