Several months ago I shared with you that Chris had been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and myelofibrosis. To eliminate having blood transfusions constantly he was put on chemo which involved going five days straight each month with two injections in the stomach; alternating left/right side — to cut down on the bruising. Chris took his last chemo treatment back in June. It has been suggested that he continue the treatment but since his blood counts are going in the right direction; that is on hold (To God Be ALL glory and praise!).

We have had a consultation regarding a bone marrow transplant and at this point have decided not to with doctor’s recommendation that she does not feel he is strong enough because of fatigue and weakness.

We are also seeing a neurologist for symptoms of parkinson. Since I have to assist him in getting dress; showering and going to bathroom; as his primary caregiver; I have had to take off without pay many days in order to get him to his appointments and help him. And I wouldn’t trade it; God knew I need him and he needs me.

As much as I would rather not say because I always think we are the ones to help others, we have had some major setbacks with medical, vehicle repair as well as living expenses. If you feel led to make a donation, no words can describe the appreciation. Nothing is too small.  If you cannot, you would be doing us a great favor if you continue to pray for complete healing, strength and His Name be glorified in the midst of this trial.

So many of you have been following along, and we would not be still standing without your prayers.

A friend told me a couple of nights ago she had asked our daughter how she is doing and how she felt her mom was coping. What my friend said I could not hold back the tears because she said our daughter said, “I don’t know how anyone do not believe in God because I look at my mom and I see her faith. It is what keeps her going.”

And to that I must say it is my faith in Him and your prayers that keeps me encouraged and going on. I could give up but God says “Pat, but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~ Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ESV‬‬
