Our sister Emily has always been someone who meets life with courage and kindness, even when the road in front of her has been incredibly difficult. Over the years, she has endured extensive medical procedures that have taken an enormous toll on her health, leading to the loss of her home and her livelihood in the past, along with much of the stability she once knew. Despite her strength and determination to rebuild, these hardships have followed her far longer than anyone should have to endure.

Today, Emily is once again at Stanford Medical Hospital, facing another serious chapter in her medical journey. With this hospitalization comes the very real risk of losing her job, her medical coverage, and the fragile stability she has worked so hard to regain. This is an incredibly frightening and overwhelming time—not just for Emily, but for all of us who love her.
