Update: We are no longer accepting donations for memorial bracelets. Thank you for your overwhelmingly generous support.
If you wish to still donate, please donate directly to the Greggory J. Casillas Memorial Fund
administered by the California Highway Patrol Credit Union. Bracelets will not be provided, and all funds will be forwarded to the Casillas family.
Pomona Police Officer Greggory Casillas was killed in the line of duty on March 9, 2018. We are offering metal memorial bracelets for $20 each. All proceeds will be donated to Greggory's wife and children.
When you donate, we will add your name to the group order form that will be sent to K and K Woodworking of Oak Hills. Please donate using a current email address so we can contact you for the address where you want your bracelet sent.
If you are donating more than $20, we will ask you in our email if you want multiple bracelets or are being more generous.
Please give up to 2 weeks to receive your bracelet.Greggory's Officer Down Memorial Page
In response to growing public interest in this fundraiser, GoFundMe has asked we explain a little about who we are and the specifics as to how this fundraiser will be conducted.
We are California state and local law enforcement officers who were in San Bernardino County Sheriff's Academy Class 207 with Greg. We graduated together in September 2017, then Greg and we parted ways to go to our respective departments. We heard about Greg’s line of duty death, and we decided to start a fundraiser to benefit Greg's wife and children.
We thought memorial bracelets would be an enduring tribute to our friend. We know from previous experience that these accessories serve as conversation starters and give us a chance to fondly remember our loved ones. We hope your bracelet will be a reminder of Greg's sacrifice and provide opportunities to start conversations about Greg with friends, family and strangers.
K and K Woodworking is a shop in Oak Hills, CA that specializes in police/fire memorabilia. They have generously offered to create each bracelet for $5. We will contact donors in the upcoming days to ask how many bracelets you want ($20/bracelet) and where you want your bracelets sent.
The GoFundMe funds will be withdrawn by San Bernardino County Deputy Sheriff R. Flores who will write K and K Woodworking a check to cover the cost of the bracelets. Deputy Flores will then present all remaining funds as a check to the Pomona Police Officers' Association which is coordinating fundraising for the Casillas family. We want to thank the Pomona POA for the resources they've provided to support this fundraiser.
