Christian is a hard worker and an amazing father. He brings home the bacon while I work to supplement his income. We’ve lived an amazing life and have no complaints, until now.
Wednesday morning Christian had a sudden onset of severe chest pain. He went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with an aortic root aneurysm.
With a 2 week hospital stay, impending open heart surgery, and a month+ long recovery looming over our heads, we’re worrying about finances.
I will need to take 1-2weeks off to help with recovery and both our family medical leave programs only cover about 60% of our income.
All our friends and family have been asking how they can help and this is the only thing I can think of. A cushion of extra money would relieve so much stress as Christian is fretting about when he can get back to work.
The surgeons say his chances of surviving surgery and living a long healthy life are good but it’s going to be a long painful recovery.
Wish us luck, and if you’d like, send some money our way to help with bills and take out so Christian doesn’t have to live off hospital food for 2 weeks.
