Our favorite hippie chick/harmony singer/bass goddess/best friend needs some help. You all know Suzy as one who has been quick to help out if you needed it. Now she needs us. We need to see her smile and be happy all the time. It's what love is all about and who doesn't love her....and her hugs?

In the past 15 years or so, I have lived a very simple, rewarding life. Becoming a minimalist has made me realize that "things" don't make me happy. Of course, in society these days, you have to have certain "things". And I have what I need to survive as I have in the past 15 years. Then you have what makes your soul and spirit survive. This, for me, would be......
1. A wonderful family for starters. I love my family, and only wish that I could make them all healthy, happy and worry-free. Where's that magic wand when I need it?
2. Then there's my , very large, extended family. We all have those, don't we!? (If you're reading this, and I've met you and hugged you, know that you are one among these beautiful people.) I love them, too. I am lucky to have them.
3. Music feeds my soul! Without it, I would lead a very sad, dreary existance! That's why I love my open mics!! I get to share the music that influences me with others who do the same! Thank you
4. Then, there's my health! Until November of last year I thought that I was doing really good in that department. Then I developed a rash that I later learned was a severe case of Eczema. The Dermatolagist, Dr. Coker (highly recomended), was positive that it was Eczema and prescribed a salve, which did not remedy or even help the condition. Since then I have done extensive research on things that I could do and use to remedy the condition. I have spent hundreds of dollars on creams, lotions, suppliments, special foods (organic) and cotton clothing to replace the polyester and man made fabric clothing that I got rid of because it made the itching so much worse. I have stopped eating foods that I love, thinking maybe this food or that food is what's causing this terrible affliction to persist. Now, almost 10 months later the rash is worse than it's been yet.
After more research, I decided that maybe my tooth that was decaying could have been the culprit. I then decided to make an appointment with my dear friend, Dr Lisa Marie Samaha, DDS, PC.
My suspicions were right! My mouth is poisoning my body. She removed the decaying tooth, but also discovered that I have a bad case of periodontal disease. I won't go into further detail but she assured me that the rest of my teeth were worth saving!! Yay! Here's the thing. This is going to cost a butt load of money that I don't have. She also thinks it imperative that I get tested for food allergies. This Eczema is a maddening, debilitating disease when it gets this bad!! I have not felt normal in several months.
I truly love giving my gift of music whenever I can to benefit someone who is in dire need of financial assistance. I'm not able to make enough of a monetary donation to really make a defference, but I can share my love of music when people come together to bebefit their cause.
I never thought that I might be on the receiving end of this wonderous thing we call a benefit to raise money for someone's misfortune.
Anyway, (this is hard for me to say) I need some help. I need a benefit. I am not an organier or a planner, so I could use some help in making this happen.
Lisa Marie Samaha, my awesome dentist and genuinely caring friend, has graciously and generously agreed to match up to $5000 of whatever can be raised for this much needed cause. This makes my heart overflow with gratitude!! She is truly an angel!!
Soooooo...................., do you think we can we do this?
