Racing Canoe Fund

My name Is Sean and this summer I have the oppurtunity of a lifetime!  I Live in a small Northern Michigan town called Grayling.  Grayling is the home of the Ausable River Canoe Marathon; a 120 mile, over night, non stop canoe race! It's North America's toughest canoe race and the #9 toughest endurance race in the world.  I've been lucky enough to complete it three times, the feeling never gets old!  
The ausable is the second leg of the Canoeing Triple Crown.  The first leg is a 70 mile race held in Cooperstown New York.  The last is 120 miles stretched over 3 days in Shawinigan Quebec.  Since the first time I completed a race it has been my dream to complete the Triple Crown!
Which brings me to creating this Go Fund Me.  In order to complete the goal I need a racing canoe for my partner and myself.  New boats are upwards of $5000 so I'm looking to purchase a used one, setting my goal at $3500.  With generous donations I'll be able to purchase the boat and train with my teammate.  The first race in Memorial Day and getting the funds together for this is a sooner the better situation.  The quicker I can obtain the boat the more practice we get in it before the first leg.
