Robin Shin's Funeral Service

Donation protected

On October 26th, 2014, our dearest friend, Robin Shin, took his own life. On behalf of his family, my friends and I would like to help raise money for the funeral procession. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. I will update with the details of the funeral when it is announced.

I am not sure what to write on these things, so I will write about my fondest memories of Robin. If you would like to add a little to this or have any questions, feel free to contact me on facebook.

Robin always loved being surrounded by his friends, though many of us have drifted since high school. When I first met him in 6th grade, I thought he was the coolest kid ever, and would never dream of this happening. I've  known that he had been battling with depression and anxiety for the past few years, but I never thought it would manifest itself in such terrible fashion. Every year, at our annual Friendsgiving potluck, I would be delighted to see him come with his big smile and boxes of Domino's pizza. He would walk in and greet everyone with "Saahp Feu! It's detour, feu!", a lampoon of street gang diction. Robin was terrible at beer pong, yet he always enjoyed playing, even if he lost. He complained about everything and was the pickiest eater. Ironically, having a Costco Chicken Bake without hearing Robin complain that "that shit tastes like chemicals" will never be as satisfying. I am sure that by the time that they're finished preparing you so that I can see you again, that you would say "that shit tastes like Chicken Bake".  I miss you, dear friend. RIP Robin Shin.

I'm in such disbelief to hear that such a young amazing person in my life is now gone. Robin never came to realize what a great person he was and what kind of effect he had on all his friends who loved him. I have known him since I was in 8th grade and I too also thought he was the coolest kid ever just like Wesley haha! I remember him with his long beautiful hair listening to Daphne Loves Derby, boy time has really fly by. He was the first person to really introduce me into the edm world as lame as that sounds.. but he was just a big influence in my life and taught me a lot when I was growing up. I know we all grew distant after highschool, but whenever we were all together it was as if everything was the same. You always brought laughter and the biggest smiles to all your friends. To be honest, there isn't much I can say because no words will ever be able to describe what a beautiful person you were for those who didn't know you to understand, I just really still can't believe you're gone... there won't be a day where we won't miss and think about you I will miss and love you forever Robin, RIP.
