As many of you know, Ellie lost her fight to a very rare genetic disease on February 25, 2023. While her time with us was too short, she still touched many lives and is always in our hearts.

In honor of Ellie’s memory, we are raising money for a dedication bench that will be at the Sewickley Library, which is Nicole and Thom’s local library. This is somewhere they often take Julia, and now will be somewhere special where they will be able to come as a family to reflect on and remember sweet Ellie.

In creating this GoFundMe, our hope is to raise sufficient funds to not only install the bench with the memorial plaque, but also to contribute any surplus funds towards the Mitochondrial Foundation in honor of Ellie. Your donations will not only provide a lasting tribute at the Sewickley Library, but also help support crucial research and aid for those battling mitochondrial diseases.
