Moyano Cancer Fund

My name is Stephen, but many of you probably know me as AeonFMC. A couple of months ago, I shared with you all that I have friends in Peru, a family called the Moyanos. The husband, Moises, recently received a cancer diagnosis and is going through chemo, prepping for surgery. It has left his wife, Bony, and son, Moriah, in a challenging financial situation. Between caring for her husband and working, Bony has fallen behind on bills. To help his family out, Moriah has dropped out of school to work. To add to the stress of being behind on bills and dealing with chemo, recently, their refrigerator broke down and isn't working.

They pour their hearts into the community around them, helping out at the local church and opening their house to keep the local kids from falling into a destructive lifestyle. It's very common for kids in the area to become pickpockets and thieves because of how little money they have. When I got the message from the family asking for help, my heart went out to them. They've given so much to the community and are desperate for help.

The Moyanos need our help!

The funds will be used for the following:

$529 will be used to purchase a new refrigerator so they can have food
$1,190 will be used to help them get caught up on their house payments, so they have a home for Moises to recover from chemo and surgery in

If we go above the goal set, it will be used for two things:

$305/month will go to Moriah's schooling so he can continue to learn so that one day he'll be able to get a good job and help his family out
$238/month will go to future house payments to help keep them in their home so that the family can recover and have a place of rest

It's not every day that you get to see the way you impact someone's life. Please consider being the hero that Bony, Moises, and Moriah need.

"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." - James 2:14-17
